Website

Build your personal library of articles, tutorials, and web pages you want to reference later. Content stays accessible even if the original site changes or disappears - you'll always have what you saved.

What gets captured

Offline copy - We create a snapshot of the page as it appeared when you saved it. You can view the page even if the original website goes offline or changes significantly.

Full text extraction - All readable text from the page gets extracted and made searchable. This makes the content available for AI Search and AI Chat, letting you find information without remembering exact URLs or titles.

Personalized AI summary - Based on your note explaining why you're saving the page, we create a customized summary highlighting the aspects most relevant to your interests. If you save a recipe noting "vegetarian meal prep ideas," the summary focuses on that aspect rather than generic recipe details. This personalized summary is then used in AI Chat and AI Search to provide more relevant responses.

Full-page screenshot - We capture visual snapshots of the entire page in both desktop and mobile resolutions. Depending on where you're viewing in Edicek, you'll see the appropriate screenshot for your device. Even if the original content changes or disappears, you'll still have access to what you saved.

How it works

When you save a website, we start processing it in the background immediately. The bookmark appears in your timeline right away, but screenshot capture and text extraction take a few moments to complete.

Once processing completes, the full content becomes part of your searchable knowledge base. You can ask the AI chat about topics discussed on the page or reference it alongside other content you've saved.

Your note explaining why you saved the page becomes crucial here - it guides how the AI understands and summarizes the content, making it more useful when you search or chat about related topics later.

Tips

Add context in your notes - When saving a website, write specifically why this page matters to you. The context you provide shapes how AI understands and uses the content later. If you save a company's landing page noting "inspiration for minimalist web design," the AI knows you care about design patterns, not the product they're selling. When you later ask about design inspiration, this page surfaces - but it won't appear when you're looking for similar products or services. Instead of "useful article," write "explains REST API authentication best practices" or "meal prep ideas for busy weekdays."

Don't worry about content disappearing - With full-page screenshots, offline copies, and text extraction, you'll still have access to the content even if the original webpage changes or gets deleted.

Limitations

Offline copy visual quality - Not all websites allow perfect offline copies. Some pages may appear visually deformed or broken in the snapshot. This feature is primarily designed for text-focused content like articles, blogs, and documentation - the text will remain readable, even if the visual layout isn't perfect.

Single page snapshots only - The offline copy captures only the specific page you saved. You cannot navigate to other pages or follow links within the snapshot - only that one page is preserved.

Screenshot availability - Screenshots may not always capture successfully. Some websites block automated screenshots, and in these cases the screenshot feature won't work for that particular site.

💡

Sometimes things don't process perfectly on the first try. Screenshots might fail, or text extraction might be incomplete. When this happens, try processing the page again - often it works the second time. Still having trouble? Let us know so we can fix it.
